What is a CSA?
Community-supported agriculture (CSA model) is a system that connects the producer and consumers within the food system more closely by allowing the consumer to subscribe to the harvest of a certain farm or group of farms. It is an alternative socioeconomic model of agriculture and food distribution that allows the producer and consumer to share the risks of farming.
Why our CSA?
- Taste: We carefully select our produce varieties for excellent taste and quality.
- Freshness: Produce is harvested on or before the day you receive it.
- Health for Body and Soil: Our produce is grown organically without pesticides in fertile soil resulting in highly nutritious food and healthy soil.
- Support Local Agriculture: Through a CSA, your dollars go directly towards strengthening and sustaining a small farm. Get to know the farm and farmers. See where and how your food is grown.
Add a half or a whole dozen eggs from our free range organically fed hens laid the day of pick.
TALMAR is known for our specialty cut flowers, grown, in diversity, in our hoop houses and in the fields. We sell to the largest food retailers. Avoid the mark up and add a fresh medium sized bouquet or bucket of stem cuts 12- 14 inches to your weekly produce! Flower memberships are also available without produce memberships.
