Acupuncture

Originated in China over 3,000 years ago and is among the oldest and continually practiced medical systems in the world. Acupuncture works by balancing the flow of vital energy, known as Qi (pronounced "chee"), which coarses through the body along well defined channels called meridians. With the use of needles (very fine), Qi is stimulated at very specific points along the meridians. These points correspond with the function of internal organs and processes as defined by the principles of Chinese medicine. Stimulation of these points builds Qi and other vital substances in the body, and keeps them flowing freely. The improved energy and biomedical balance produced by acupuncture stimulate the body’s natural healing process.

Homeopathy

Homeopathy is a method of medical treatment which stimulates the body's own healing processes in order to cure illnesses. It is based on the Law of Similars ( Like Cures Like). This means that a disease can be cured by a medicine that is capable of producing symptoms similar to those experienced by the patient in a healthy person. Homeopathic remedies are diluted to eliminate or minimize their toxic effects. A homeopathic remedy is normally a single substance (usually derived from
a plant, an animal, or a mineral) which is then subjected to a special procedure which brings out the medicinal properties of the original substance. There are currently about 2500 substances whose specific
effects on the body have been recorded. Examples are charcoal, salt, oyster shell, chamomile, etc.
